| 2009 Friday Extra Concert Series Returns to Lowry Park - March 27 |
| March 24, 2009 - It’s guaranteed to be a toe-tapping good time as the 2009 Friday Extra Concert Series returns to Lowry Park at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 27. Concerts will be held every Friday through May 22 and will feature a variety of local bands as well as a special performance by the Florida Orchestra. Opening act for the 2009 series is the jazz quartet Stolen Idols, who play authentic the tropical mood-music jazz subgenre pioneered by Martin Denny and Les Baxter. Taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. is “Grammy Nominated” The Dan McMillion Jazz Orchestra. All concerts are free to the public and are held at the Lowry Park Band Shell, located at 7525 North Boulevard.
