COLD WEATHER SHELTERS OPEN TONIGHT
The Coalition just received noticed from Hillsborough County that the County's cold weather shelters will be open tonight. We are passing this information on to our members and partners.
The cold weather shelter locations are:
Bethune Park Rural Shelter (South County) - Adults and Families This shelter opens at 6 p.m.
Salvation Army - Adults 1514 N. Florida Ave., Tampa
**The Salvation Army, in conjunction with Hillsborough County, coordinates additional 'overflow' locations for adults. To access the overflow shelters, people still need to go to the Salvation Army.
Metropolitan Ministries - Families 2010 N. Florida Ave., Tampa 510 E. Sadie Street, Brandon
If you are interested in finding out how you can help at a cold weather shelter - either volunteering or donating items, please contact the shelter directly.
