Time is running out
for Tampa Water Department residential customers to request a free Sensible
Sprinkling Irrigation Efficiency Evaluation. Space is still available to
participate in the program but only if qualifying customers register before
June 30.
What does a Sensible
Sprinkling participant receive? A Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor
will check for water distribution uniformity in irrigation
zones; sprinkler heads for correct size, angle of spray; whether plants
and turf are watered in separate irrigation zones; and for an operational rain
sensor (If you have an automatic system and no sensor, one will be installed at
no charge during the evaluation). After the evaluation the Tampa Water
Department will provide a detailed written evaluation report that includes:
recommendations on improving the efficiency of the sprinkler system and
reducing water use, seasonal watering schedules for each irrigation zone,
and alternative ways to reduce water use, such as reducing turf areas
where appropriate, using micro-irrigation, adding mulch, etc.

On aurait du mal à trouver un domaine de politique publique qui a plus de potentiel pour des idées politiques nouvelles que le logement et la politique de développement communautaire.
